Unfortunately in India not much attention is paid to "Life Skills" in school. The sorry state of sports is well known, as is the thrust on scoring well in examinations. Yet there is no place that the student can learn how to enhance study techniques or improve memory and concentration. There is no where that the child can learn how to cope with the enormous stress that parent's and their own expectations place on them. This is where Carve Consultancy can help.
Our training seminar for school children focuses on the need of the day by making the children more aware of what they are capable of. They also learn interesting techniques that they can use in daily life and apply with some imagination to their studies as well. The mentors of the children, namely parents and teachers are also invited to part of the seminar where we help give them tools that improve interpersonal communication with the children.
The highlight is that the child leans to balance learning with his or her own emotional needs. The self awareness that there is more to life than being a student is vital in these times when one keeps hearing of stress leading to suicide for many students. We also have tools to help profile the students personality. This will help the child and mentors better understand the aptitude and interest of the child. Not only does it help in career counseling it also gives an insight into the child's talents and abilities.

Learning by doing is a new concept to students who are used to the "rote" method. It takes the child a while to understand that the sessions will be far more interactive than a regular class. After that is understood, the children warm up to the seminar and start getting actively involved in the learning process.
